| Andrew Merrilees is the General Manager, Hong Kong Insurance and Managing Director in Bupa (Asia) Ltd. Bupa Hong Kong.
Andrew has over 20 years working in the insurance industry sector specializing in employee benefits. Andrew has worked for both global and local medical insurers. Andrew has also spent a number of years working for global broking/consulting firms. Over this time Andrew has developed an ability to understand business needs and translate those needs into viable business solutions and benefits programs. He is a strong believer in early intervention of illnesses particularly chronic disease and sees this a growth area in Asia in the coming decade.
Prior to Bupa Hong Kong, Andrew led Lockton’s regional employee benefits business across Asia Pacific. He was a Lockton APAC board member and part of the Global Employee Benefits leadership group.
Prior to moving to Asia, Andrew was regarded as one of the medical insurance experts in Australia and sat on several Boards within the insurance industry there. |
| Wilton Kee is Vice President, Chief Product Officer and Head of Health, Manulife (International) Limited. As a member of Manulife Hong Kong’s senior management team, he is responsible for leading product development and marketing actuarial functions for the company, as well as driving the company’s health business, including critical illness and medical products for individual and group insurance. Mr. Kee joined Manulife in 2013 as Assistant Vice President and Pricing Officer for Individual Financial Products in Hong Kong, overseeing its marketing actuarial functions. He became Vice President and Chief Product Officer for Individual Financial Products in October 2016, leading the overall strategy and direction of the company’s individual insurance business. Mr. Kee played a pivotal role in the formation of the health strategy and successful launch of Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme solutions in 2019. On top of this, he has been instrumental in helping the company build new bancassurance business by developing unique customer solutions for the clients of some of the leading banks in Hong Kong. Mr. Kee also has solid experience in actuarial pricing, financial reporting and risk management, both in Hong Kong and Japan. He spent the earlier part of his career in the Asia regional office of a leading international insurance group. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Hong Kong and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) of the United States. He has also attained the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation issued by the Global Association of Risk Professionals and holds a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).

| Orchis is the General Manager of Gen Re’s Hong Kong Branch. She has more than 20 years of experience in the Hong Kong insurance market, with a focus on product development. Orchis joined Gen Re in 2015 and is responsible for the management of the Hong Kong branch and regional/group offices’ client relationships. Orchis also has the responsibilities of driving InsurTech strategy as well as analytics and development of Critical Illness products for Asia. Prior to joining Gen Re, Orchis had worked with a number of multinational insurance companies.
Orchis is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. She is a Councillor of the Life Insurance Council under the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and a member of the Health Committee & Actuarial Innovation Committee under the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong. Orchis has also been appointed as a member of the Industry Advisory Committee with the Insurance Authority.

| Lawrence Tsui was appointed as Chief Pricing Officer and Head of the L&H Products Centre for Swiss Re's L&H business globally in April 2019. Based in Hong Kong with a team scattered around the world, he and his team are responsible for pricing methodology, new business steering, costing tools, contract wording and review of large and structured transactions for L&H business across the globe.
Prior to this, Lawrence was a Senior Products Actuary in the L&H Asia Products Hub from January 2006 to June 2011, moving into a role as Global Products Actuary in the L&H Products Centre from July 2011, also based in Hong Kong and primarily responsible for steering L&H risk appetite, product development and review of large transactions, focusing on Risk Products in the Asia-Pacific region.
Before 2006, Lawrence held a number of other roles within Swiss Re, working as a L&H Valuation Actuary in Sydney, a L&H Pricing and Actuarial Support Actuary in Zurich and a L&H Marketing Actuary in Singapore. He joined Swiss Re in December 1996 after graduating from Macquarie University in Sydney (during which time he worked as an intern at Mercantile & General Reinsurance, later acquired by Swiss Re) and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia in 1997. |

| Bob works for Coherent, a Hong Kong based technology firm with a suite of technology products covering the whole of the insurance value chain. Bob has been involved in a range of Health related software and consulting projects, including developing the Asia Health Strategy for a large multinational insurer.
Prior to Coherent, Bob built the Hong Kong business of CXA Group: a health insurance start-up with. For over a decade, Bob was the regional CEO of Towers Watson in Asia Pacific. Reporting to the global CEO, he was responsible for all of Towers Watson’s business lines across 22 offices in 13 countries.
Bob is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (London) and holds a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from Oxford University. He is a (proud!) member of the ASHK’s Health Committee.
