In light
of the on-going developments with COVID-19 and after thoughtful discussions,
the organizing committee has decided to deliver our Summit scheduled for 25-26
November 2020 as a digital event, in lieu of an in-person event. The safety of
our delegates and guests is our top priority. We believe this is the safest
approach for the well-being of our audience and look forward to bringing
together our finance and actuarial professionals in this new virtual format to
learn and connect together.
Currently
we are working diligently with our event coordinators and relevant vendors on
the conference platform and e-booths. The virtual Summit is with live
streaming features. Our speakers would come over to the venue to speak at their
respective plenary and break-out sessions which will be broadcasted live. The
attendees can enjoy the event online and will be able to partake in interactive
and engaging experiences throughout this dynamic platform.
The
virtual conference platform we will use comes with interactive exhibition
features and includes plentiful opportunities for engagement, all while
attendees connect from the comfort and safety of their home or office. Best of all, plenaries and breakout
session recordings will be easily accessible on-demand for our attendees at their own
convenience.

We want
to keep everyone informed as best as possible. Delegates may earn up to a
maximum of 11 CPD credits
(including 1 hour on professionalism) from attending the Summit. If you
have not registered yet, please continue to
check our event page for updates about the Summit! For those who have
already registered, our conference secretariat will be sending to you the login
information one week before the event.

With the theme of
āEmbracing the New Futureā, we are very honored to invite The Hon Paul Chan
Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region to address the opening and Dr the Hon Moses Cheng, Chairman
of the Insurance Authority to deliver the welcome address.
This two full-day event is truly a breakthrough by combining the ASHK Annual
Dinner, Appointed Actuaries Symposium, General Insurance, Pension and Health
Seminars. More than 300 delegates are expected to attend the Summit including
C-suites from key insurance/financial institutions, Appointed Actuaries,
general practitioners, government bodies and the media.
The Summit will include a variety of topical areas bringing together
participants, top keynote speakers and honorary guests from across the
territory to advance a shared agenda, providing members the opportunity to meet
with ASHK Council and the key industry stakeholders from among the actuarial
profession for resources, connections and inspirations. Featured breakout
sessions will also be held in which we will engage in a deep dive in the areas
of Life, Health, General insurance, Risk, Innovation and Pension.
